About
Attorney Jamie Laliberte is a multi-generational Idahoan with a passion for defending the rights of the accused.
Jamie spent nearly five years as staff attorney to the Honorable Thomas J. Ryan and the Honorable Thomas W. Whitney in the district court of the Third Judicial District. Jamie has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience at critical stages of criminal proceedings ranging from infractions to homicide.
Jamie majored in criminal justice at Boise State University prior to earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho in 2016.
As an undergraduate student, Jamie volunteered his time at the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program, a program dedicated to providing civil legal services to low-income individuals who may not otherwise be able to obtain legal counsel. During law school, Jamie gained experience managing a caseload of misdemeanor and felony cases at the Gem County Prosecutor’s office, after which he interned for the Ada County Public Defender’s office and assisted counsel with motion practice and jury selection on a first-degree murder case.
Jamie understands that being accused of a crime is often the most difficult obstacle a client may face in their lifetime. It is this understanding that pushes Jamie to fiercely and zealously defend your rights and provide you peace of mind and confidence while we navigate your case together.
When he is not practicing law, you are likely to find Jamie on the golf course, somewhere in the mountains, at a local brewery, or in his kitchen attempting to cook with his fiancé. Jamie is an animal lover and has two cats, Hootie and Sarafina.
